White Cross, Inc., also known as White Cross Children’s Home was established in 1936 as a response to the plague of tuberculosis where the marginalized are most affected. A devout catholic group of women headed by Mrs. Victoria Lopez de Araneta formed a corporation named White Cross Inc.
On April 19, 1938, the group entrusted its management to the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul through the request of Mrs. Mercedes Zobel de McMicking, one of the founders of White Cross, Inc.
On April 28, 2004, the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul returned the management to the Board of Trustees, headed by Mrs. Consuelo Rufino-Lopez, and the institution was managed by the Lay Coordinators.
To date, White Cross Inc. is licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and obtained Level 2 accreditation as a child caring agency providing temporary care to 0-6 years old in need of immediate shelter and facilitating permanent placement to abandoned and surrendered children through adoption.

2. Community Extension Program
a. Day Care
Provision of basic early childhood
development for 3-4 years old children
a. Residential Care
1. To offer temporary substitute parental care for children whose parents are unable to care for them due to illness, death, socio-economic and other personal family and societal situations detrimental to the integral developmental and administrative.
2. To enhance the technical and administrative competence of the staff to hasten early reunification of children back to their families and other alternative parental care.
3. To strengthen linkages and networking with government, faith-based groups, and other NGOs to enrich partnerships in referral and other support systems.
b. Community Extension Services
1. To provide support services for the promotion of women's development and responsible parenting in communities.
2. To develop a comprehensive program for the early childhood and development of preschool children.
3.To organize parents as facilitators of social responsibility in community building in the spirit of Christian discipleship.
